Dr. Binil Salam is a highly accomplished Interventional Pulmonologist with extensive expertise in the management of acute and chronic lung diseases. He earned his MD in Respiratory Medicine from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, and pursued advanced fellowships in Interventional Pulmonology from leading national and international institutes.
Specializing in minimally invasive pulmonary procedures, Dr. Salam is proficient in rigid bronchoscopy, airway stenting, tumor ablation, cryoablation, navigation bronchoscopy, and medical thoracoscopy. He holds European Respiratory Society (ERS) certification in Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and has significant experience in therapeutic bronchoscopy techniques, including the use of APC, cryo, electrocautery, and laser.
Before joining Aster MIMS, Dr. Salam led the Interventional Pulmonology Unit at MVR Cancer Centre, Calicut, for four years, where he built a strong reputation for clinical excellence and patient-focused care.
