Carolin Steinack started at University hospital Zurich in 2014 and became head of Interventional Pulmonology in 2022. Her clinical expertise focuses on interventional pulmonology, lung cancer, lung transplantation and cystic fibrosis. Her research includes allografty dysfunction in lung transplants, impact of modulators in CF, pulmonary interventions like robotic- assisted navigation bronchoscopy and thoracic sonography.
Latest research topics include cryobiopsy in lung cancer, lymph node assessment, and invasive and non-invasive assessment of allograft function following lung transplant with the support of third-party funding. She supervised doctoral and master`s students. She collaborates with industry partners in research consultancies and serves on scientific advisory boards.
