Since 2015, Hector is a pathologist / interventional cytopathologist at Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias, Spain and works in the pathology department – cytologyand thoracic pathology sections. In 2018, he became Associate professor at the surgery department at Universidad de Oviedo.
Hector graduated in 1998 at the Faculty of Medicine, School of Medicine, Universidad de los Andes, Mérida in Venezuela and over the years, obtained further specialist degrees, among them the Research Proficiency of the Biomedicine Doctoral Program of the Universidad de León, as well as Expert in Digital Teaching for Medicine at the CEU Cardenal Herrera University in Moncada. In the most recent past, he started to focus on ultrasound-guided interventions and musculoskeletal ultrasound and along that finished his degree in oncologic pathology.
