Dr. Hideaki Furuse is a respiratory physician at the National Cancer Center Hospital (NCCH) in Tokyo, Japan, specializing in the endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of thoracic diseases. He obtained his MD from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toyama, in 2012. After completing his initial residency, he began his clinical career in respiratory medicine at Toyama Prefectural Central Hospital in 2014. He further developed his expertise in interventional pulmonology as a senior resident in the Department of Endoscopy (Respiratory Endoscopy Division) at NCCH in 2021 and has held his current position since 2023. He received his PhD from the Graduate School of Medicine, Juntendo University, in 2024 for his clinical research in respiratory endoscopy. He is a member of several professional societies, including the Japan Society for Respiratory Endoscopy and the European Respiratory Society, where he contributes to the field of interventional pulmonology.
