Dr. Abdelghani earned his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Baton Rouge General and his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at Tulane University. He then went on to Harvard Medical School for his Interventional Pulmonary fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. He joined Tulane University as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Director of Interventional Pulmonary. His main clinical and research interests include diagnosing peripheral lung nodules using robotic bronchoscopy and cone-beam CT, malignant central airway obstruction, endoscopic lung volume reduction, and diagnosing ILD with cryobiopsy.
